SUMMARY:Mount Arlington Democrats July Meeting: 7/13/2020
DESCRIPTION:MABDC\n\n\n\nFirst\, we’ll talk about our experiences voting by mail\, good and bad. \n\n\n\nThen\, we will hear from our speaker. \n\n\n\nUnderstanding theBlack Lives Matter Movements\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo you have questions about the Black Lives Matter movement? Our featured speaker\, Ore Obiwumi\, has been helping us to build a local party in Mount Arlington since August of 2019\, both officially\, in her former role as the Political Director of the Morris County Democratic Committee\, and unofficially since then. She has encouraged us to build a local Democratic party that reflects our democratic values. \n\n\n\nOre Obiwumi is speaking on her own time\, but she also currently works as a field manager for “The Sister District Project” which works to turn states blue by winning state legislative elections.  So\, we’ll also ask her for tips about how to transition from red to blue.  \n\n\n\nPlease come! We’d love to see you there. \n\n\n\nComing in August\n\n\n\nAugust 17 at 7 pm via Zoom\, Darcy Draeger\, candidate for NJ State Assembly for the 25th Legislative District. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo you have questions about how how the state legislature works? Please sign up to get our meeting alerts and come to this August meeting.
