NJ Legislative District 25
New Jersey’s 25th Legislative District is one of 40. We have one state senator who serves a four-year term and two state assembly people who both serve two-year terms.
Although all our legislators are currently Republican, the demographics of the district have trended more Democratic in recent years. In 2011, Republicans held a 12.0% vote registration advantage. By 2019, that advantage was down to 7,801 votes (4.9%). We were very proud of our 2020 Democratic candidates for the 25th district.
All the towns in the 25th district are in Morris County except the Somerset County municipality of Bernardsville Borough. Morris County is crisscrossed by other state legislative districts: the 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and the 40th.
It’s important not to confuse the state legislative district with our federal congressional district.
