Dear Mount Arlington Dems,
We wish you and your family a very happy and healthy New Year.
The Mount Arlington Dems had a busy year. With your help, we gave back to our community by reading to K-2nd graders at the Mt. Arlington school and we sent hundreds of postcards for candidates to get out the vote to registered Democrats in Mt. Arlington . Two social events were sponsored by our association: a delightful summer party at the beautiful home of Jessica Price, the co-chair of MtADems, and a fall Meet and Greet at the Holiday Inn. Both events were well-attended.
For the first time in our short history, we ran a candidate for town council, Alan Charles Torrise. Although we did not gain a seat on the Town Council this time, we had a good showing at the polls and are looking forward to running candidates again. The town is realizing that there is an active democratic presence in Mt. Arlington.
In order to keep our events free or low cost, we ordered buttons, car magnets and coolers with our logo to try raising money by bringing in more small donations.
Next year will be a very big one for all of us. We will need all of you to participate to save our Democracy. There will be lots of opportunities. We will need people to canvass, write letters, address postcards, make telephone calls, take leadership roles and run for office. Most important of all, we need everyone to come out to vote and to have you urge your friends/family to do the same.
